Equipment rental

Terms and conditions of sale and rental

These terms govern booking, handover, use and return of equipment supplied by Plage Paradise Location.

Updated: 10 August 2026

1. Scope

These terms apply to beach equipment rentals entered into with an adult consumer through any booking channel. Pack contents, available options and applicable prices are those shown to the customer before confirmation.

2. Prices

All prices are stated in euros. The amount shown before confirmation includes the rental price and any applicable delivery charge. Plage Paradise Location benefits from the French VAT exemption scheme under Article 293 B of the French General Tax Code and therefore does not charge VAT.

Delivery is charged according to the selected service area and is free for rentals of 7 days or more.

3. Booking and payment

A booking becomes firm after confirmation by Plage Paradise Location. Payment may be made online by card when that option is active, or on handover of the equipment, in cash or by card. No security deposit is required, whatever the payment method. The same cancellation terms apply to both payment methods.

4. Handover, delivery and collection

Equipment may be handed over at the customer’s rental car at Maryse Condé Airport or at the accommodation within the service areas. The time and place are agreed with the customer. Collection is organised at the end of the rental period.

5. Use and return

The customer must use the equipment for its intended purpose, take reasonable care of it and return it in the condition in which it was received, allowing for normal wear. Significant loss, theft, breakage or damage must be reported promptly.

Where damage is attributable to the customer, Plage Paradise Location may seek justified compensation corresponding to the actual loss suffered, subject to applicable consumer law.

6. Withdrawal rights

For distance contracts, the statutory 14-day withdrawal right applies unless a legal exception applies. Certain services or leisure activities provided on a specific date or during a specific period may fall within the exceptions set out in Article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code.

Where performance must begin before an applicable withdrawal period ends, the legally required formalities are collected beforehand. Nothing in this clause limits mandatory consumer rights.

7. Cancellation by the customer

More than 7 days before the planned handover: full refund of sums paid.

Between 7 days and 48 hours before handover: 50% refund, or a free rescheduling when possible and agreed by both parties.

Less than 48 hours before handover: sums paid are normally non-refundable. Exceptional situations are reviewed in good faith without restricting statutory rights.

8. Cancellation by Plage Paradise Location

If the confirmed equipment cannot be supplied, the customer may accept equivalent equipment, a rescheduled rental or a full refund. A less favourable replacement cannot be imposed without the customer’s agreement.

9. Force majeure

Where an event meets the legal requirements for force majeure, the parties will prioritise a rescheduling or refund solution consistent with applicable law. Ordinary rain, wind, weather changes or sargassum do not automatically constitute force majeure.

10. Complaints and mediation

Any complaint must first be submitted in writing to Plage Paradise Location at contact@plageparadise.com. Plage Paradise Location undertakes to reply within fifteen days. The additional avenues of redress shown below depend on whether consumer-mediator details have been configured.

11. Personal data

Data required to manage the booking, handover and customer relationship are processed in accordance with the website privacy policy.

12. Applicable law

These terms are governed by French law. Mandatory jurisdiction rules protecting consumers remain fully applicable.

Consumer mediation

Complaints. Any complaint must be submitted in writing to contact@plageparadise.com. We undertake to reply within fifteen days. If no amicable solution is reached, the customer remains free to bring the matter before the competent court.
